Clipping Report
AI visibility monitoring

People ask AI now. Does it mention your company?

After a press release goes out, Clipping Report asks ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity the questions a journalist, investor or customer would ask, and shows whether your company comes up, whether it is named first, whether the facts are right and whether the AI cites your coverage.

Why AI visibility matters for PR

More people now skip the search engine and ask an AI assistant directly: "Who are the leading logistics companies in the UAE?", "What did this company announce?". If your news is not in those answers, part of your audience never sees it, however many outlets ran it.

Traditional monitoring counts where a release was published. AI visibility shows whether that coverage actually reached the answers people read, and whether the AI points back to credible coverage or only to a copy of the press release.

What we measure

MeasureThe question it answers
MentionedHow often do the answers name your company?
Named firstDo you come before competitors in the answer?
Facts correctDoes the AI repeat your key facts and figures accurately?
Cited your coverageDoes the AI link to the articles in your report, or only to a copy of the release itself?
Share of voiceWhich competitors does the AI name alongside you, and who comes first?

The results are combined into an AI Visibility Score from 0 to 100, shown per assistant, with the change between the first and the second check.

How it works

  1. Questions written for your release. Six questions in the voice of a journalist, an investor and a customer: direct questions about the company, questions about the announced facts, and open discovery and comparison questions where the company is not named. You can review and edit them.
  2. Asked with live web search. Each question goes to ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity with web search on, two days and seven days after the release. Open questions are asked twice, because answers vary.
  3. Answers checked. Each answer is checked for your company name, its position, the facts, and the sources it cites, which are matched against the clippings in your report.
  4. Shown in the report. The score, the per-assistant results, example quotes and the cited sources appear in the online report and in the PDF, Word and Excel versions.

Coverage that counts

Not all citations are equal. An AI quoting a syndicated copy of your press release shows the wire did its job. An AI citing an independent trade publication that covered your news shows credible coverage is shaping what AI tells people. Clipping Report tells the two apart, so you can report the difference to your client.

Frequently asked questions

What is AI visibility?

AI visibility is how often, and how accurately, AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity mention your company when people ask them questions. It is the AI-era version of "did the news reach people?".

Is this the same as GEO or AEO?

It measures what generative engine optimisation (GEO) and answer engine optimisation (AEO) try to improve. Clipping Report does the measuring: it shows whether a release changed what AI assistants say, so you can see what worked.

Why check on day 2 and day 7?

AI assistants with web search pick up new coverage over several days. The day 2 check shows the early picture; day 7 shows whether the news stuck, and the report shows the change between them.

Are the answers the same every time?

No. AI answers vary from one ask to the next, so the broader questions are asked more than once and the report shows rates (for example "mentioned in 4 of 6 answers"), not a single yes or no. Treat the score as a strong indicator, not an exact measurement.

Which AI assistants are checked?

ChatGPT, Google Gemini and Perplexity, each with live web search switched on, which is how most people use them for current information.
