This policy explains what personal data Clipping Report ("we", "us") collects when you visit onlineclippingreport.com, open a report we prepared, or use our service, why we use it, who we share it with and what you can ask us to do. Clipping Report is based in Dubai Media City, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Questions: [email protected].
1. What we collect
- Contact details you give us: your name, company, email address and any message when you email us or ask for a demo.
- Customer and report data: the press releases you send us, the company and contact names on a report, the email addresses reports are sent to, and the coverage we find (which is public information published by media outlets).
- Account data for our customers' and staff's dashboard accounts: name, username, email, role and a hashed password.
- Report visitors: when someone opens a report, the questions they type into "Ask your report", and technical data such as IP address, browser type and the time of the visit, kept in our server logs and security records.
We do not use advertising or analytics trackers on our website or reports.
2. Why we use it
- To provide the service you asked for: find coverage, build and update reports, run AI visibility checks and deliver reports (performance of a contract).
- To reply to you and send you the reports and information you asked for (your request, or our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries).
- To keep the service secure, prevent misuse and fix problems (legitimate interest).
- To meet legal obligations.
3. Cookies and similar storage
We only use what the site needs to work: a session cookie and a security (CSRF) cookie, an optional cookie that remembers a report's password on your device for 30 days if you tick "Remember", and a small setting in your browser that remembers light or dark mode. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, so no cookie banner is needed.
4. Service providers we use
We share data only with providers that help us run the service, and only what each one needs:

Some of these providers process data outside the United Arab Emirates, including in the United States and the European Union. We use providers that commit to protecting the data they process for us. We do not sell personal data.
5. How long we keep it
- Online reports are password-protected, and their links expire automatically (after 60 days by default).
- Report data and screenshots are kept while we provide the service to the customer who ordered the report, and deleted on request.
- Emails and enquiries are kept as long as needed to answer them and for our business records.
- Security and server logs are kept for a limited period to keep the service safe.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law or the EU GDPR), you can ask us to give you a copy of your personal data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, or move it to another provider. Email [email protected] and we will reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
7. Security
Reports are protected by passwords and expiring links, connections to the site are encrypted, dashboard passwords are stored hashed, and staff access is limited by role.
8. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
